Cilung (Rolled Tapioca Balls)

Cilung is a traditional snack from West Java, Indonesia. It is made from tapioca flour, eggs, and seasonings. The dough is rolled into thin crepes and filled with various toppings, such as cheese, corn, or spicy sauce. Then, the crepes are rolled and skewered with bamboo sticks. Finally, the cilung is coated with a crunchy mixture of bread crumbs, fried onions, chili flakes, and flavor enhancer. Cilung can also be served without the coating, just sprinkled with chili powder or topped with sauce and mayonnaise. Cilung is chewy, savory, and satisfying.
